Each instrument carries unique characteristics, trading conditions, and risks. Markets are generally accessible 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, with specific exceptions outlined below.
Trading Hours
Forex: Trading operates from Sunday 22:00 to Friday 21:59 (GMT+0). Specific instruments may have adjusted hours.
Cryptocurrencies: Available 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Specific trading schedules can be checked within the trading platform.
Indices, Stocks, and Commodities: Operating hours vary by instrument. Specific trading schedules and breaks are detailed within the trading platform.
Spreads
Spreads are floating and represent the difference between the bid and ask prices. The average spreads provided are based on previous trading days. Spreads may widen during periods of low market liquidity, such as rollovers or unexpected market events. For live spreads, refer to the trading platform.
Swaps
A swap is an overnight financing charge applied to positions left open past 22:00 GMT+0.
Triple swaps are applied on certain days (e.g., Wednesdays for forex and Fridays for stocks) to account for weekend costs.
Cryptocurrency positions are also subject to swaps, calculated based on the specific pair and market conditions.
Accounts for residents of Muslim countries are automatically swap-free.
Margin Requirements
Dynamic Margin: Leverage-dependent instruments, such as forex and certain commodities, have margin requirements that adjust based on the leverage setting of your account.
Fixed Margin: Instruments like exotic forex pairs, certain cryptocurrencies, and commodities maintain fixed margin requirements, unaffected by account leverage.
Stop Levels
Stop levels represent the minimum distance required between the market price and a pending order. These levels may vary depending on the instrument and trading strategy, and are subject to change.Dividends (Applicable to Stocks and Indices) Dividend adjustments are applied to positions based on the underlying asset’s dividend schedule. Updated dividend information is available in the trading platform.
